This past weekend we took a trip to Stonehaven, Scotland located south of Aberdeen and visited Dunnottar Castle. It is an awesome place, with some very scenic view of the Scottish coast and one of the best castle ruins you will ever seen. Thomas loved the place, he ran around the grounds, saw the kites flying in the air, watched the seagulls, and had to climb the uneven cobblestone stairs himself. Afterward, we went into Stonehaven and had lunch at a cafe where Thomas repeatedly violated the no double dip rule with his tortilla chips into Eileen's tartar sauce and coleslaw. We played on the beach, but did not get into the water as it is freezing cold (~ 40 degrees F), finally we stopped and got ice cream, where Thomas got the hang of eating an ice cream cone rather quickly.
