Beach Trip

We had a great trip at the Outer Banks with the Shirks and all the cousins.  Thomas loved watching his cousins play and be crazy.  He especially liked the swimming pool.  He wasn't too sure of the ocean or the sand at the beach.  He discovered watermelon and it is now one of his favorite foods.  He was a great traveler on the long trip to North Carolina.  Thomas was just starting a sort of wiggle crawl before the trip and got better trying to keep up with his cousins.

Trip to PA for Kelsey's Wedding

We went to Pennsylvania to attend Kelsey and Will's wedding in Chadd Ford, PA (outside of Philadelphia). We were able to stay with at Abby and Dan's and play with Charlie. There are some pics of the boys together. They even put on their Penn State stuff to pose for pics, which their moms really enjoyed. Then it was on to the wedding, were we were able to play with cousins, Maggie, Sydney, Cooper and Harrison. We were able to see Great Grandma Moore, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Aimee, Aunt Margery, and for the first time Great Uncles David and George. We had a great time seeing several friends, family and seeing Kelsey and Will tie the knot. It was a beautiful wedding and a fun reception, it was a shame Thomas has to go to bed at 8 pm, when the party went on until 3 am. 

The house is coming along as well, there are some pics included. We plan on closing mid-July!

6 months old

Thomas turned 6 months old on May 27th.

He discovered Cheerios and loves them!

We traveled to Toledo to visit Grandma & Grandpa Shirk, Aunt Margery, Uncle Eric and cousins. Thomas had such a good time playing with cousins Cooper, Sydney and baby Harrison.

Our new house is getting closer to completion, estimated time for move in is mid-July.

Thomas' Baptism

Thomas was baptized at First Methodist Church Houston on May 9th. All of his grandparents came to Houston for the weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Shirk came in from Toledo, Ohio, and Nana and Papa Smedley came in from Dallas. Aunt Carol also visited from Dallas. Cousin inlaw to be Will also attended.

Thomas did awesome at his baptism. He is such a happy baby, the pastor even commented to the congregation on Thomas' smile. Thomas wore a heirloom gown made by Mrs. Anita Mirra, he looked very handsome and we received several complements. Thank you Anita!

We had a great weekend with all the grandparents in town and Thomas was pretty much held by someone all weekend long.

We are so glad we were able to share with experience with our families. It is such a special event as we presented Thomas to our church family. For more pics click on this link.

Texas Bluebonnets

Thomas posed for his first spring wildflower photo shoot this weekend. On the banks of White Oak Bayou (that is a small river for all you non-Texans). He was very interested in the flowers and what in the world mommy and daddy were doing trying to get him to smile and look at the camera.
