34 Weeks and Baby Shower (x3)

85% of the way there! Last weekend Kelsey and Aimee put together a fabulous baby shower in Houston. It was fun and girly and really nice to spend time with all my good Houston friends. Dong is already spoiled! Everyone was incredibly generous and we got some very cute one of a kind gifts. For example "Sophie" the french giraffe chew toy. We are all set for this baby to come. Especially after the amazing showers in Dallas and Toledo a few months ago. We feel so blessed to have such special friends that are excited to share the excitement of this baby. Click here to see pictures from the Houston and Toledo showers.

Also, our house has a contract on it. After a grueling week of negotiations following the inspection we are almost there. The house is 70% packed up (or so it seems to me but the reality of what needs to be done still is always worse than you think) and we move into my 900 square foot bungalow on the 19th.

Babymoon - 29 weeks

72.5% of the way there. We took our babymoon over labor day weekend at Sanibel Island, FL. It was wonderful and relaxing. The island was super quite with no big neon signs anywhere (think opposite of Daytona). We slept a lot, read a lot and even played 18 holes of golf (well Marc played 18 rather and I played about half). So this was our "last blast" before the baby comes. For two people who love vacation that is hard to imagine.

On the house front, we have an offer on our house and are in the process of inspections. We are praying all of that goes well as it should. Now onto the next quest, finding a new place just in time for the baby to come. Exciting?!

27.5 weeks

Or 70% of the way there.  This past weekend we celebrated our anniversary (a bit late) and Marc's birthday in the Hill Country.  It was the first time we had been back since we got married there.  We took Ned and stayed in a cabin on the Blanco river.  It was VERY hot and the river was low but we still had a great time.  We even went back to the ranch where we got married and took a picture.  I proclaimed that we will go back every year and take a picture at the ranch.  We'll see how that works out.
On the baby front I am almost in my third trimester and Dong is moving a lot now.  It is mostly fun but some what difficult when she/he likes to start break-dancing as soon as I lay down to sleep.  We did order a crib (12 weeks for delivery) and register.  That is about as far as we have gotten on baby stuff.  Our house is on the market and we are just praying that someone will want to buy it before I go into labor (preferably a month or two before that point).   The next few weeks should be busy with a babymoon and baby showers so hopefully I will put more pictures up.
Oh yeah the Zebras!  We were driving on this tiny country road near Johnson City and came across three zebras and a private airstrip.  Crazy.  Must be some rich oil baron who loves black and white.  Also the picture of Ned in the water is at Perdenales Falls State park.

... or for those who prefer I am 60% of the way there. Yikes! I am thinking that means we should start thinking about the whole crib and baby room thing.  At least we have finally got it together and have a picture to share of the tum tum.  I think I have "popped" or at least there are a lot more people outright asking "are you pregnant". Btw, who says that, really?! So recent advances are Dong has really started to move and Marc has even felt it kick. It is really amazing to feel that.  What a miracle!  Dong has been to Portland, OR, Toledo, the Poconos and a Coldplay concert in the past month. Oh yes, other big news is our house goes on the market this weekend. What is that theory about the 5 most stressful events that occur in ones life and not trying to do more than one of them at a time?

Ultrasound

Ok ,we are giving this blogging thing a whirl.  Forgive me if I don't update it much.  Belly shots are coming.  For now you have to settle for a picture of the Donger.  We saw him/her for the first time today and it was pretty cool.   He/she was kicking up a storm and sucking their thumb.  Really cute. We decided not to put the front on pictures of it's face as it is a bit like skelator and not quite as cute.
