1 week old

Posted by Picasa

Thomas was one week old on Friday. Time is flying by already. The first night home was a bit rough but every day has been getting better as we figure each other out. Highlights of his first week are that Thomas got his first bath (which didn't piss him off as much as I thought it would), it snowed in Houston, and he had his first pediatrician appointment (he was a rock star). He is super cute and we can't stop holding him. More pictures here

39 Weeks

I don't think I need to put a percentage in. I am almost done!!! This has been a big month, we moved into my 900 sq ft bungalow, had a great engagement party for Kelsey and Will, Ned ran away, got hit by a car and was found and we are days away from the due date! About two weeks ago I started to get some pretty uncomfortable back pain otherwise known as sciatica. I have been working from home and next Monday is my last day at work which is very exciting. So now we just need to put the car seat in the car, pack the bag, put the stroller together and wait. Pictures are from the engagement party, my birthday and 39 weeks and some Ned. 34 Weeks and Baby Shower (x3)

85% of the way there! Last weekend Kelsey and Aimee put together a fabulous baby shower in Houston. It was fun and girly and really nice to spend time with all my good Houston friends. Dong is already spoiled! Everyone was incredibly generous and we got some very cute one of a kind gifts. For example "Sophie" the french giraffe chew toy. We are all set for this baby to come. Especially after the amazing showers in Dallas and Toledo a few months ago. We feel so blessed to have such special friends that are excited to share the excitement of this baby. Click here to see pictures from the Houston and Toledo showers.

Also, our house has a contract on it. After a grueling week of negotiations following the inspection we are almost there. The house is 70% packed up (or so it seems to me but the reality of what needs to be done still is always worse than you think) and we move into my 900 square foot bungalow on the 19th.

Babymoon - 29 weeks

72.5% of the way there. We took our babymoon over labor day weekend at Sanibel Island, FL. It was wonderful and relaxing. The island was super quite with no big neon signs anywhere (think opposite of Daytona). We slept a lot, read a lot and even played 18 holes of golf (well Marc played 18 rather and I played about half). So this was our "last blast" before the baby comes. For two people who love vacation that is hard to imagine.

On the house front, we have an offer on our house and are in the process of inspections. We are praying all of that goes well as it should. Now onto the next quest, finding a new place just in time for the baby to come. Exciting?!
